This beautiful plant with unusual leaves got its name from the sour taste of the leaves, which contain oxalic acid. The leaves of this plant close, with the onset of dusk, or even just cloudy weather. In many countries it is believed that this flower brings good luck, especially its four-leafed appearance with green leaves that have a purple corner, it is called the "clover of happiness" and is traditionally given on New Year's Day with best wishes.
So that the interesting color of the leaves does not fade, room oxalis needs intense, but diffused light. In summer, in extreme heat, the plant is shaded, and in winter, on the contrary, it is highlighted. In summer, the plant needs a temperature of 22-25 degrees, abundant watering, frequent spraying. The plant can be taken out to the balcony or garden. Do not forget to feed it with complex fertilizers twice a month. In winter, indoor oxalis needs a dormant period, watering should be reduced, and the temperature should be lowered to 12-18 degrees.
If the plant does not have a pronounced dormant period in winter, it will not die, it simply will not bloom (cacti and other succulents behave in a similar way). This flower is transplanted every spring, the soil should be light, a mixture of peat, sand, leafy earth, sod land, humus, taken in the ratio (2: 1: 1: 1: 1) is recommended. Oxalis is propagated by dividing the bulb and cuttings.
