In gardening, there is a large selection of trees and shrubs that you can grow in your garden. So the viburnum plant is ideal for your own garden.
Viburnum grows and bears best when planted in partial shade. A place for viburnum near a reservoir would be ideal.
The viburnum plant sits down in autumn or winter. To do this, it is necessary to dig a hole in the size of 50 by 50 cm. In addition to peat, phosphorus and nitrogen are added to the hole. The seedling must be deepened by 3-5 cm. When additional forms appear, they help to take root well. There should be a distance of at least 1.5 meters between the plants.
You need to feed the plant twice. Once before the start of the growing season, and the second time before the start of leaf fall. In order for a tree to form, it is necessary to leave one very powerful shoot, and remove all the rest. This is done for 3 years, then this shoot will become the trunk of the tree.
Very often, viburnum is affected by the leaf beetle, which can eat all the leaves, leaving only the veins. With this disease, it is worth treating with 0.2% chlorophos. Also, a comma-shaped thyroid gland can start on the viburnum, to combat which a 0.1% solution of karbofos is used. To prevent the plant from developing powdery mildew or spotting, it must be treated with onion, garlic or tobacco infusions during the season.
