The planting time of a tomato depends on many factors.

It is better to sow tomatoes on seedlings in March, then by the time they are planted in the beds, the seedlings will be strong and ready to survive stress. In the spring, before planting seedlings, it is necessary again to add manure, add potassium chloride and superphosphate.

The time of planting a tomato can vary depending on the air temperature and, accordingly, the temperature of the soil, if we are talking about planting a tomato in open ground.

It is advisable to plant tomato seedlings only when the threat of frost has passed, since tomatoes can suffer from too low temperatures. This usually occurs between May and June. Here it is necessary not to be late, since too late planting a tomato in the beds will lead to the fact that the fruits will not have time to ripen before the onset of cold nights.

Also, many when planting a tomato are guided by the lunar calendar, taking into account the zodiacal signs and phases of the moon. Cancer, Taurus, Capricorn, Scorpio, Libra and Pisces are believed to be fertile. Unfavorable days for planting a tomato, like other plants, are considered the days two days before and after the new moon, hence: it is better to plant tomatoes on the growing moon with fertile signs.

Before planting, it is better to spray the seedlings with a solution of copper chloroxide, and shed the holes with a weak solution of potassium permanganate in order to protect the plants from fungal diseases during the period of adaptation, getting used to new conditions.

Tomatoes need to be planted, deepening them almost along the lower leaves, and according to the scheme, observing a distance of thirty and more centimeters, so that their yield does not decrease due to poor ventilation and planting density.
