Top dressing of pepper seedlings

Top dressing is of great importance in the process of growing healthy, viable seedlings. Feeding pepper seedlings in the early stages of growth will allow you to get a rich harvest in the summer.

So, after the appearance of 1-2 "real" leaves, it is time to carry out the first feeding of pepper seedlings. To do this, 0.5 g of ammonium nitrate, 3 g of superphosphate, 1 g of potassium fertilizers are diluted in 1 liter of water, preferably settled. Two weeks later, a second feeding is done, the composition of the fertilizers is the same, but the dose of each ingredient must be doubled. Immediately before transplanting seedlings into the ground, the last top dressing is carried out, while potash fertilizers are put up to 8 g per 1 liter of water.

If you are a fan of organic fertilizers, then you can advise using wood ash and nettle infusion for feeding pepper seedlings (1:10). For slowly growing seedlings, it is recommended to use an infusion of sleeping tea leaves (one glass of sleeping tea leaves is poured with 3 liters of hot water, after 5 days the solution must be filtered and used for watering).

In order to avoid one of the most common diseases of pepper seedlings, black leg, it is recommended to water and feed in the morning with water at room temperature.
