The waste residues and dead leaves tend over time to create a thick impenetrable layer, known as felt, which tends to absorb humidity and prevent it from reaching the grass roots; It is therefore good to remove this material, to allow fertilization and watering to reach the ground. The felt removal operation is done every 4-6 months. To make the aeration, a special rake is used, with long, thin and parallel teeth, which is anchored to the felt and raises it; after having spent the whole lawn with the aeration rake the material is removed using a normal rake or a broom for leaves. If the turf to be aired is very large, we can also use a ventilating machine, which makes our work easier.
