Stone walkway formation

Stone walkway formation:

We place our stones on the surface of the soil, so as to form a straight or arched walkway;
With the help of a spade, we mark the outline of the stone around the first stone.
We remove the stone and we practice a hole of the same shape of the stone.
The hole must be a little deeper than the stone and slightly wider.
At this point we place on the bottom of the pit of coarse sand, which will allow us to better fix the stone and make the surface flat.
We insert the stone in the pit so prepared, checking that it does not sink below the surface of the ground, but rather remains elevated by a few millimeters.
With the help of a spirit level we check that the stone is straight; in case it has a strong slope, let's remove it and place more sand under the stone to level the base.
