Erica - Calluna vulgaris


In general, the heather is cultivated as an ornamental plant, or admired in full bloom on the alpine slopes; not many know that this plant also has many of its own and was formerly used as a medicinal plant.

To use the beneficial properties of the plant, infusions, decoctions or macerates are prepared, obtained by taking the entire fresh pina, also in bloom.
This plant contains very strong active ingredients, to be used as aintoinfiammatori; in particular, it is remembered that it is used to counter urinary tract problems, such as cystitis or other types of inflammation.
With heather, face masks or tablets are also prepared to be swallowed against skin inflammation, and also as a cleanser.
